100 Days of Prayer (s22): Days 36-42

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 36: Sunday, February 23

Today I pray for the people of Ukraine. God of justice, on the path to peace following years of illegal, immoral attacks by Russia, let Ukrainians know they have not been abandoned. Restore their families, friends, and country.

Day 37: Monday, February 24

Today I pray for federal funding of special education and school meals. God of wisdom, as a handful of officials rush to eliminate safety net programs in the U.S., guide us in how to help vulnerable populations who may lose services.

Day 38: Tuesday, February 25

Today I pray for brothers and sisters seeking asylum and safety from the threats in their home countries. Compassionate God, reveal paths away from violence, poverty, and oppression, and how I may help those fleeing such conditions.

Day 39: Wednesday, February 26

Today I pray for a society to no longer need Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. Loving God, enable us to treat everyone with dignity, equity, and fairness, and be vigilant against the trappings of institutional racism.

Day 40: Thursday, February 27

Today I pray for our common home and for our descendants who will inherit the decisions we make today about the earth. God of creation, help us see past the inexpensive and convenient to the long term health of our common home.

Day 41: Friday, February 28

Today I pray for rapid yet thoughtful rebuilding of neighborhoods destroyed by natural disasters. May Your provision offer victims a roof over their heads and a community of support

Day 42: Saturday, March 1

Today I pray for government experts and watch dogs who help to keep us safe, protect us from financial predators, and help to plan for a brighter future. Lord, grant fired federal workers peace and reveal a way their calling may be restored.
