100 Days of Prayer (s21): Days 64-70

Updated: Oct 30, 2024

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 64: Sunday, November 3

As U.S. voters go to the polls on Tuesday, let our faith guide us. I pray our choices echo Jesus in welcoming the stranger, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting prisoners, embracing the sick and dying, and promoting peace.

Day 65: Monday, November 4

God of peace, transform war and conflict into cease-fires, restoration, and hope. When feelings of anxiety and aggression begin to climb, calm our nerves with a sense of serenity and faith that justice will be done and peace will prevail.

Day 66: Tuesday, November 5

Today I pray that all people who are eligible to vote may do so without being interfered with at the ballot box.

Day 67: Wednesday, November 6

God of unity, draw us back together no matter the outcomes of the election. Let our voices be heard, and let restoration begin with our brothers and sisters who make different choices.

Day 68: Thursday, November 7

Today I pray for migrants who see the U.S. as their hope and escape from poverty and oppression. Let us never scapegoat these brothers and sisters. May they find meaningful work and community in their new homeland.

Day 69: Friday, November 8

God of abundance, no matter the U.S. election outcome, guide our representatives to help people struggling to make ends meet. Enable compromise and deal making for affordable housing, health care and food.

Day 70: Saturday, November 9

God of creation, we remember the need to care for our common home. Help us establish new habits that preserve or restore our environment for those who come after us. May these efforts evolve into lasting, shared public policy.
