God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.


Day 92: Sunday, August 6

78th Anniversary of the US Atomic Bombing Of Hiroshima - Gracious God, we pray for the victims and descendants of this tragic event. May world leaders acknowledge the lasting suffering caused by the atomic bombings.


Day 93: Monday, August 7

I pray that voting rights remain front and center in our democracy. Guide our national leaders to expand and protect voter access and ensure that elections remain fair and inclusive.


Day 94: Tuesday, August 8

God of Peace, I pray for all who are suffering from violence, torture, genocide, and other war crimes. Guide the hearts of all who inflict pain on others to change. May victims find resilience, support, and hope.


Day 95: Wednesday, August 9

78th Anniversary of the US Atomic Bombing Of Nagasaki - Today, I pray world leaders reject the use of nuclear weapons and commit to preventing an arms race while pursuing nuclear disarmament.


Day 96: Thursday, August 10

Loving God, I pray for our common home, currently under stress due to record-hot temperatures worldwide. May we all be led by Your wisdom to heighten our concern and understanding to adapt ecological-friendly practices.


Day 97: Friday, August 11

Today I pray for all experiencing homelessness to encounter resources that can assist them in finding a place they can call home. May families be guided to places of peace and stability.


Day 98: Saturday, August 12

Merciful God, I pray for all people around the world suffering from a sweltering hot climate. May we understand that it is up to us to make a collective change to protect us and safeguard our common home.
